Major Fire Accident at Coimbatore

Major fire broke at Axis bank, located near lakshmi mills, Coimbatore. Source says 4 dead including three female employees and several injured. There was no emergency exit so several people were trapped inside. While two women were injured when they jumped from the second floor, two fire force personnel sustained injuries after they fell down when the water-pipe hose got entangled in their legs, officials said.

Fire broke at early morning 10 AM at the third floor. The fire was reportedly caused by a short circuit in an air-conditioner duct.

Ten to 12 fire tenders, including some from Army and Navy, were used and the fire was doused after2 hrs to bring down the flames. Injured are being shifted to the nearby hospitals for the treatment.

Safety Alert - Accident in Cement Plant

A couple of labourers were trapped under the debris of a huge container carrying dust when it collapsed at the Cement plant

Inspector general of police told PT over telephone that he was informed that a huge container or a boiler, came down crashing after a rail supporting it broke down. "One person was rescued and referred to a hospital," he added.

Safety Alert --Accident In Steel Plant

A worker was killed and two others were injured in a mishap at Steel Plant in xx district today, police said.

"The accident took place when an iron beam, being lifted by a crane in the under-construction coke oven battery 11, collapsed late evening. One worker standing on the ground was killed, and three others injured," Superintendent of Police  told PT over phone.

Safety job is more than a Doctor, A Doctor can treat a patient only after injury but they speak on 'prevention is better than cure' but a Safety demonstrates!!!

 Speaking on experience and skill, it requires huge special skills. It is all about bringing the safety thought-process in the mind of employee's which not just easy to cultivate. More than a marketing profession!!

ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS

1. Cross the road where you can see clearly along the Roads in
All Directions.
2. When there is no pavement (Pedestrian walk), always walk on
your Right hand side of the Road, facing the upcoming Traffic. SEE
AND BE SEEN.
3. If you want to cross the road do it in Right angle, never
cross diagonally.
4. Wear Helmet with chin strap while riding two wheeler and
wear Seat Belt when driving four wheeler.
5. Always keep left, and drive within manageable speed by you
and never exceed Speed Limit (City speed limit 40 Kms).
6. Keep kids and old persons carefully in vehicles, they may
distract you while driving.
7. Always expect others mistake on the road.
8. Never overtake on a road where you have no visibility.
9. Do not drive triples in two wheelers you may lose control.
10. Call 108 for all Emergencies like MEDICAL, POLICE AND FIRE.
